Roman Novellas

The ballet triptych written in 2016, based on the Roman ancient short novels by Ovid, Apuleius and Gaius Petronius. The work is dedicated to one of the most influential contemporary dancers of XX century, the Polish choreographer Janka Rudzka. The project has been founded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

 

The composition consists of three ballet pieces: Pyramos and Thisbe, Lover in a barrel, The Widow of Ephesus.

Genre: Contemporary, vocal-instrumental.

Performers: dancers, soprano, baritone, choir and orchestra.

Language: Abstract.

Duration: 120 minutes.
